Fort Lewis College has been recognized in Newsweek's inaugural "America's Best Colleges for Women" ranking, a new list developed in partnership with Gender Fair. The ranking evaluates institutions across four areas tied to the Women's Empowerment Principles: Leadership, Pay & Policies, Safety, and Opportunity.
According to Newsweek and Gender Fair, colleges that score well demonstrate structural commitments, such as visible female leadership, equitable pay practices, campus safety measures, and broad access to opportunity, that support women's success in education and beyond.
