All faculty and administrative professional staff positions are non-classified employees of Fort Lewis College, governed by the college's policies and procedures.
Classified employees are part of the Colorado State Personnel System and are governed by State Personnel Board Rules and Procedures and the Partnership Agreement.
FLC recognizes the importance of rest and personal time. Faculty and administrative professional staff receive annual paid leave, sick leave, and personal days to ensure they can take time off for rest, family, and well-being when needed.
Full and part-time administrative professional staff accrue up to 24 days of annual and 14 days of sick leave per year. Part-time administrative professional staff earn pro-rated leave based on their FTE.
Faculty are eligible for sick leave through FAMLI and the Health Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA).
