Shoutouts

Andy is always going above and beyond for his staff as well as the students on campus. He does all of his work in great detail while always maintaining a positive go-getter attitude. The RAs want him to know how much we appreciate him!!!

When we had an issue in an apartment that Anna is occupying, her level head and understanding of the situation facilitated the responses we were able to provide even while having to juggle with her presentation that she was preparing for. Her understanding and demeanor is what makes Fort Lewis great, and her working with all the departments she has to at this time is amazing and greatly appreciated. She is truly an example of what we need on this campus.

I have lost count of how many times Cyrus has had to come help with my computer. He responds quickly, never leaves until a solution has been found, and always offers follow-up support. I'm super grateful for his knowledge and efforts.

Emma agreed to facilitate a workshop for Teaching and Learning Services' recent training for professors on how to support first-gen students. End of the semester is a busy time for TRIO, and Emma did research, organized a slide deck, and delivered the training in the midst of end-of-year TRIO needs. She commutes an hour each way, is a single and incredible mom, and is a superb example of putting your heart into your work and students at the center.

Processing, approving, and resolving graduation conferral issues very quickly to get the majority done within the first week of grades being posted, Gustie did an excellent job in limiting delays and impacts to students graduating this May.

Jen Rider has been so helpful with the conversations around the new content modules for First Year Launch. She has been super generous, sharing ideas and suggesting tools to get to the best outcome. I've been so impressed with her empathy for students and instructors throughout the process.

Jerry can be counted on day after day. He goes above and beyond by not only covering his area but also covering another due to short staff. If I need him to help out other co-workers, he will be there. Thank you, Jerry!

John goes above and beyond by covering his building but is also willing to cover another building or two when short-staffed. If I tell him I need this or that on top of regular duties, he is someone I can count on. Thank you!

Katie was a great partner with crowdfunding for Hawk Tank. She had multiple check-ins with students and showed genuine interest in our success. She offered training on the technical program and also the general approach to fundraising that taught the students a lot.

There were delays with processing transfer evaluations, but Lori helped find a way forward to ensure transfer students and advisors are going to be able to see what they need to determine registration decisions.

Processing, approving, and resolving graduation conferral issues very quickly to get the majority done within the first week of grades being posted, Mallory did an excellent job in limiting delays and impacts to students graduating this May.

Patrick is the unsung hero for the whole Katz School but especially for Hawk Tank. He is so patient and supportive of the students and plays a huge role in their learning experience.

Peter goes out of his way for all students and employees in Reed Library. The pride he takes in his work is beyond anything I am used to. He gets to know everyone, cheers everyone up, and checks every box in this form at a very high level.

Shout out to my supervisors, lead custodian, and co-worker in Structural for hearing a suggestion for an additional accommodation for a restroom in Chemistry and collaborating as a team to complete the project.
