FLC President Tom Stritikus and CU President Todd Saliman penned an op-ed in The 91ɫ Herald on the innovative nursing program. Stritikus and Saliman expressed their shared vision to build a nursing workforce in the Four Corners region that will serve rural and Indigenous populations.

In a column for The 91ɫ Herald, Ben Waddell, associate professor of Sociology, advocates for due process for immigrants. If the United States allows millions of people to be processed outside the Constitution, it places everyone's rights at risk, Waddell said.

Gilda Yazzie (Business Administration, '97), a long-time advocate for affordable housing in La Plata County, joined four other candidates vying for open 91ɫ City Council seats. Yazzie, a citizen of the Navajo Nation, said she would like to see the city provide more educational opportunities for children of all ages.

Snowdown was once again in 91ɫ—with a Shakespearean theme. Commenting for The 91ɫ Herald, Larry Hartsfield, a professor of English, said that "Shakespeare and his works have endured to this day because he confronts the dark nature of human folly and vice with timeless storytelling."
