Born and raised in the far west suburbs of Chicago, Steven Schwartz, 65, spent a decade working as a tool and die maker before enrolling in college and eventually finding his way to Fort Lewis College, where he's spent nearly 30 years. FLC Diversity Collaborative highlights the power of dreams

More than 80 graduates participated in this year's Diversity Collaborative Graduation Celebration. The Collaborative includes the Black Students Center, the El Centro de Muchos Colores, the Gender and Sexuality Center and the Native American Center.
