Coach Pietrack takes men鈥檚 basketball reins from FLC legend Hofman

Fort Lewis College’s new men’s basketball head coach, Bob Pietrack (’04, Exercise Science), has some big sneakers to fill.

Pietrack is taking over for Coach Emeritus Bob Hofman for the 2015-16 season. In his 19-year career, Hofman earned every basketball coaching record in school history, including most wins and highest winning percentage.

FLC Theatre: Spring Awakening, A Musical [VIDEO]

Spring Awakening is a rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.

Freshman Marketing major Amelia Thomas took first place in the Young Native Writers Essay Contest for her essay. She won a $2,500 scholarship and an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C., where she will be awarded her honor at the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian.
